We have released a major update to the LanGeek Dictionary.
This update is one of our most important steps toward making vocabulary learning more accessible, intuitive, and effective for learners around the world.
What’s New in This Update
This dictionary update includes:
- full feature support for French, German, and Spanish dictionaries
- translations into 26 languages

Full Feature Support for French, German, and Spanish
French, German, and Spanish dictionaries have now been fully upgraded.
These languages are no longer limited in functionality and now offer the same powerful dictionary features available across LanGeek.
This includes:
- translations into 26 languages to support learners from different backgrounds
- audio for example sentences to improve listening and pronunciation practice
- Smart Lookup for examples in beta, allowing users to explore meanings instantly while reading
This update creates a more consistent and complete experience, no matter which supported language you are learning.
Introducing Reverse Search
One of the most useful additions in this update is reverse dictionary search.
Traditionally, dictionaries require you to search in the language you are learning. With reverse search, that limitation is removed.
You can now:
- search for a word in your own language
- instantly see its equivalent in your target language
To use it, select your language as the translation language and type your query in the search bar.
This makes the dictionary easier for beginners and faster for learners who want to find the right word without switching tools.
Major Content Expansion
Alongside feature improvements, this update also brings substantial content growth.
We have added:
- thousands of new words
- around 1,000 new images
- updated images for existing entries, refined based on user feedback
These improvements make the dictionary more comprehensive, more visual, and easier to understand.
