💡 How to Share Feedback & Ideas

Have an idea that could make LanGeek better?
Use this category to suggest features, content, improvements, or changes that would improve the LanGeek platform.

This category is for ideas such as:

  • new features
  • improvements to existing tools
  • content requests
  • dictionary improvements
  • grammar or vocabulary improvements
  • mobile app improvements
  • website improvements
  • learning workflow suggestions
  • usability or design feedback

:white_check_mark: Before you post

Please check these first:

  • Search the community to see if someone already suggested the same idea.
  • Make sure your idea is about improving LanGeek.
  • Try to describe the problem, not only the solution.
  • Add examples, screenshots, or links if they help explain your idea.

[!TIP]
The clearest ideas usually explain what the problem is, what you want changed, and why it would help users.

:compass: What type of idea are you sharing?

When you create your topic, try to make it clear what kind of request it is.

Type Examples
Feature request “Add spaced repetition settings for saved words”
Content request “Add more example sentences for phrasal verbs”
Improvement “Make the search results easier to filter”
Design feedback “The saved words page is hard to scan on mobile”
Workflow idea “Let users create custom practice lists from dictionary entries”

:memo: Suggested format

There is no required template for this category, but using this format will help the LanGeek team understand your idea faster:

## What is your idea?

Describe the feature, content, or improvement you want to suggest.

## What problem does it solve?

Explain what is difficult, missing, confusing, or inefficient right now.

## How should it work?

Describe what you expect to happen or how you imagine the feature/content working.

## Where should this appear?

Website, Android app, iOS app, dictionary, grammar, vocabulary, saved words, search, etc.

## Why would this be useful?

Explain who would benefit and how it would improve LanGeek.

## Examples or screenshots

Attach anything that helps explain the idea.

:+1: Good idea example

## What is your idea?

Add filters to the saved words page.

## What problem does it solve?

When I save many words, it becomes hard to find specific words later. I want to review words by level, topic, or date added.

## How should it work?

The saved words page could have filters such as:

- level
- topic
- date added
- language
- learned / not learned

## Where should this appear?

Website and mobile app, inside Saved Words.

## Why would this be useful?

It would help users review vocabulary more efficiently and organize large word lists.

## Examples or screenshots

No screenshot, but similar to filters used on search pages.

:cross_mark: Not enough information

Try to avoid posts like these:

Add more features.
The app should be better.
Please improve the dictionary.

These are hard to review because they do not explain what should change or why it matters.

A clearer version would be:

Please add filters to dictionary search results so users can sort words by level, part of speech, or topic.

  • ask for more details
  • add a status tag
  • merge it with a similar idea
  • move it to a better category
  • discuss it internally

Not every idea can be built, but clear feedback helps us understand what users need most.

  4. Why would it help users?
